The long-running “Dave & Carole” show on WKLH 96.5 FMis no more as the station’s management decided not to renew Carole Caine’s contract, the Saga Communications station said Monday in a press release.

"After careful consideration, WKLH has made the decision not to renew Carole Caine’s contract. Carole has been an integral part of WKLH’s morning show for almost thirty years."

Luczak came to the station, then WMGF in 1983, with Don Girard. Caine became newsperson in 1985 and full time co-host in 1986.

She signed-off Monday morning.

From now on, the station’s morning show will be known as “WKLH mornings with Dave Luczak,” who is the “Dave” half of the “Dave & Carole” combo. Caine’s last day co-hosting the show was Monday.
